Fold Teams Up With Stripe for New Bitcoin Rewards Card

Fold Unveils Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card With Stripe and Visa

Fold (NASDAQ: FLD) is partnering with Stripe and Visa (V) to launch its first bitcoin-only rewards credit card, providing a straightforward way for users to earn bitcoin on everyday spending.

The Fold Bitcoin Credit Card will run on the Visa network and leverage Stripe Issuing’s infrastructure, the company announced Tuesday. Cardholders will earn 2% back in bitcoin instantly, with an extra 1.5% bonus available when paying via a Fold Checking Account with qualifying activity. Additionally, users can receive up to 10% back at major retail partners, including Amazon, Target, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Uber.

“Our card makes bitcoin accessible to everyone,” said Fold CEO Will Reeves. “No categories to manage, no tokens to stake, no exchange accounts required—just real bitcoin earned automatically with every purchase.”

Stripe called the launch a milestone for its consumer card-issuing product, designed to help fintechs bring new payment solutions to market without building infrastructure. Visa’s crypto lead, Cuy Sheffield, added that the card provides “a safe, simple way to earn bitcoin while shopping.”

Fold has already processed over $3.1 billion in transactions and distributed more than $83 million in bitcoin rewards through its debit card, exchange, and gift card programs. The new credit card expands the company’s suite of bitcoin-native financial services.

At publication, Fold shares were down 10% to $3.49. The company holds nearly 1,500 bitcoin in its treasury.
