XRP Price Prediction: Ripple Faces Fresh Pressure Near $1

XRP is trading close to $1.01, down roughly 0.6% over the past 24 hours, with the token confined to a tight range between $1.00 and $1.02. The current price action looks more like consolidation than a genuine recovery, as XRP continues to face resistance while a recent bridge exploit adds another layer of uncertainty.

The Coreum-XRP bridge was reportedly drained of approximately 200,000 XRP after an attacker allegedly used a fraudulent deposit to initiate withdrawals. The incident prompted an emergency shutdown of the bridge and reportedly attracted the attention of the FBI.

Meanwhile, traders are watching September and October for possible developments related to the CLARITY Act. Any progress on the legislation could become a major catalyst for XRP, with the potential to either improve sentiment or intensify market pressure.

The broader crypto market is also moving sideways ahead of the expected legislative developments. XRP reflects the same cautious environment, with narrow price swings, weak volume and limited evidence of aggressive buying.

At around $1.012, XRP remains below its major short- and long-term moving averages. The 7-day, 20-day, 50-day and 200-day SMAs are positioned near $1.03, $1.06, $1.08 and $1.31, respectively. This alignment continues to point toward a bearish technical structure.

XRP trading volume has also weakened, falling to approximately $885 million from $905 million the previous day. The decline suggests that trader participation is cooling as investors wait for a clearer market catalyst.

XRP Price Prediction: What Comes Next?

The bullish case could strengthen if the Stochastic indicator produces a bullish crossover from oversold territory while XRP tests the lower Bollinger Band. Such a setup could trigger short covering and push the token toward $1.05. A favorable development involving the CLARITY Act could provide additional upside momentum, while some longer-term forecasts continue to target $1.50-$1.55.

The base-case scenario sees XRP continuing to consolidate between $1.00 and $1.05 as the market waits for further information about the CLARITY Act.

The bearish outlook would become more prominent if XRP decisively breaks below $1.00. Such a move could expose the token to the low-$0.90 range and challenge the idea that buyers are steadily accumulating XRP.

The $1.00 level has been defended by XRP holders since November 2025, but another rebound from this support would not necessarily confirm a trend reversal. XRP still needs to reclaim several major moving averages before its technical outlook improves meaningfully.

A move above $1.05 would be an encouraging first step, but substantial resistance remains near $1.31, where the 200-day moving average is positioned. With XRP already carrying a large market capitalization, some investors may instead seek higher-growth opportunities in smaller infrastructure projects.
