Kalshi Brings Live Election Data to DoubleZero Before U.S. Midterms

DoubleZero has integrated Kalshi’s political and election prediction-market data into its low-latency network, giving institutional investors and automated trading systems access to detailed market information ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.

The new data feed includes completed trades, the best available bids and offers, and order-book liquidity aggregated across price levels, according to the DoubleZero Foundation. The information is distributed through DoubleZero Edge, which uses the network’s fiber infrastructure to transmit market data rapidly.

The move could make prediction-market activity more useful for professional trading, hedging and risk-management strategies. Basic market probabilities show how traders currently view an outcome, while full order-book data reveals the liquidity supporting those prices and how quickly participants respond to breaking developments.

DoubleZero operates a contributor-powered fiber network built on Solana and is headquartered in the Cayman Islands. Its infrastructure is designed to support blockchains, prediction markets and other distributed systems that depend on fast and reliable data transmission.

Kalshi is a federally regulated prediction-market platform where users can trade contracts linked to political, economic and other real-world events.

Midterm Election Activity Accelerates

The Nov. 3 midterm elections will determine control of Congress for the final two years of President Donald Trump’s current term. Every one of the 435 House seats and 33 Senate seats will be contested.

The election results could determine whether Republicans retain the ability to push forward Trump’s legislative priorities and approve judicial and administration nominees. A Democratic takeover could instead give the party greater power to block legislation, conduct investigations and increase congressional oversight of the White House.

DoubleZero co-founder Austin Federa said prediction markets are increasingly serving as real-time indicators of developments around the world, but their usefulness depends on how quickly that information reaches traders.

He argued that events such as political debates, court decisions and breaking news can cause market probabilities to change within seconds. Providing Kalshi’s live order-book information through DoubleZero Edge, he said, allows professional traders and AI systems to process those changes without relying on outdated market snapshots.

The integration comes as interest in prediction markets tied to the 2026 midterms continues to grow.

Figures from the Anti-Corruption Data Collective, cited by Reuters, showed that more than $133 million had been wagered on House and Senate races across Kalshi, Polymarket and Polymarket US by Aug. 10.

That total had already exceeded the $92.4 million recorded during the entire 2024 congressional election cycle, underscoring the rapid expansion of political prediction-market activity ahead of the midterms.
