Fed Rate Hike Fails to Halt Crypto Rebound as New Week Begins

The week beginning Sept. 21 brings several developments for crypto traders, with markets continuing to assess the impact of the Federal Reserve’s latest rate decision.

Bitcoin has started the week near the $84,000 level, showing resilience after the Fed raised its benchmark target rate to 4.00% last week. The initial hawkish reaction has so far had a limited effect on crypto prices.

Economic data will provide the main macro focus, with U.S. jobless claims, new home sales and durable goods orders due later in the week. Global markets will also be evaluating the monetary-policy outlook following recent decisions by the Bank of Japan and Bank of England.

In the crypto market-structure space, the SEC’s new pilot framework for tokenized securities will be a major development to monitor.
