XRP Price Prediction: Could Ripple’s Banking Breakthrough Push Token Toward $15?

Ripple has obtained final U.S. regulatory approval for its national trust bank, strengthening its position in the financial sector as XRP investors look toward Swell 2026 in New York. The development could improve Ripple’s standing with institutional clients, while ETF inflows and new partnerships may provide additional catalysts for XRP’s price.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) issued final approval for Ripple National Trust Bank on October 26, following conditional approval in December 2025. The decision advances Ripple’s plans to expand institutional custody and oversee reserves associated with its RLUSD stablecoin. The announcement also arrives as the company prepares to host its annual industry gathering.

Ripple’s Banking Approval Advances Its Institutional Strategy

The federal trust bank authorization marks another milestone in Ripple’s effort to integrate blockchain-based services with traditional finance. The bank is expected to manage segregated reserves backing RLUSD, serve as collateral trustee for RLUSD holders, and provide fiduciary custody for digital assets.

Standard Custody & Trust Company will remain the issuer of RLUSD under New York state regulation. Federal oversight adds another layer to the regulatory framework surrounding Ripple’s stablecoin and institutional operations. Since launching in December 2024, RLUSD has reportedly grown to a market capitalization of $2.5 billion.

For XRP, the approval reinforces Ripple’s broader expansion into payments, stablecoins, custody, and capital markets. A stronger regulatory position could make its services more attractive to financial institutions, potentially encouraging wider use of the XRP Ledger and supporting ecosystem liquidity.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has repeatedly highlighted the importance of building connections between cryptocurrency businesses and traditional banking. The latest authorization gives that strategy additional regulatory support as financial industry leaders gather to discuss digital asset adoption.

XRP ETF Inflows Reach $1.8 Billion Before Swell

U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds have accumulated approximately $1.8 billion in net inflows, providing investors with a regulated way to gain exposure to the token. Their combined net assets stood at $1.48 billion.

Recent figures indicate that buying activity has continued, although at a more measured pace. XRP ETFs attracted $4.3 million in net inflows between October 19 and October 23, including $3.5 million on October 22. The following session recorded no net creations or redemptions.

ETFs allow traditional investors to access XRP without directly holding tokens or managing blockchain transactions. Continued demand for these products could therefore become an important source of institutional investment in the market.

Ripple Swell 2026 could bring additional attention to the asset. The conference runs from October 27 through October 29 in New York, alongside the XRP Ledger developer conference Apex and a gathering associated with the University Blockchain Research Initiative.

Ripple anticipates more than 1,500 attendees, over 100 speakers, and more than 80 sessions. Topics include institutional settlement, tokenization, stablecoins, capital markets, crypto ETFs, and real-world applications for XRP.

Representatives from Ripple and major financial institutions are expected to participate. Announcements involving payment infrastructure, custody services, tokenized assets, or new investment products could strengthen confidence in the ecosystem and influence demand for XRP.

Can XRP Reach $15? Analysts See Potential Upside

Technical analyst Javon Marks has outlined a bullish scenario in which XRP could climb to $15, drawing comparisons with the cryptocurrency’s substantial rally in 2017.

In July 2026, Marks pointed to the roughly 2,872% gain recorded during that earlier breakout. Applying a similar increase to XRP’s November 2024 breakout level near $0.50 led him to the $15 target.

Such a move would require a significant advance from current price levels and a renewed period of strong market demand. Expanding institutional participation, continued ETF inflows, and positive announcements from Ripple could help support that outlook, but none of these factors guarantees the projected price.

Chad Steingraber has also previously suggested that XRP could rise from $2 to $10 in less than a year. His outlook cited ETF demand and the possibility of accelerated price discovery as more institutional investors enter the market.

Swell offers Ripple an opportunity to reinforce these bullish expectations through announcements about partnerships, RLUSD adoption, and institutional services built around the XRP Ledger. Any meaningful progress in these areas could strengthen the token’s long-term investment narrative.

Nevertheless, the $15 forecast remains speculative. Regulatory progress and ETF demand may improve sentiment, but XRP’s future price will also depend on broader cryptocurrency market conditions, actual adoption, and sustained buying pressure.

With Ripple’s banking approval secured just as Swell 2026 begins, investors will be watching for developments that could shape institutional demand and determine XRP’s next major market move.
