After 3 Years Idle, LuBian Wallet Sends Over $1 Billion in BTC, On-Chain Records Reveal

Dormant LuBian Wallet Transfers $1.1B in Bitcoin After Three Years

A Bitcoin wallet linked to LuBian, the mining pool hacked in December 2020, moved 9,757 BTC—roughly $1.1 billion—on Wednesday, marking its first activity in three years.

According to Peckshield and Lookonchain, the wallet, labeled “39DUz,” transferred funds to two new addresses, “34kn9z…s9tef” and “bc1q4c…77s0.” It is unclear whether these transfers indicate liquidation or are security-driven wallet migrations.

The activity coincides with the U.S. Department of Justice seizing $15 billion in Bitcoin from the Prince Group, linked to forced-labor operations in Cambodia. Forensics firm Elliptic confirmed that some of the seized coins were part of the 127,271 BTC stolen from LuBian in 2020.

The wallet movement underscores continued attention on recovered stolen crypto and the long-term consequences of the LuBian hack.
