ARB Token Surges as PayPal Adds Arbitrum to $850M PYUSD Stablecoin Network
Arbitrum’s native token, ARB, jumped significantly on Wednesday after PayPal updated its cryptocurrency terms to include Arbitrum as a supported blockchain for its $850 million PYUSD stablecoin.
The updated terms now list Arbitrum alongside Ethereum and Solana, where PYUSD is already active. PYUSD is issued by Paxos and operates across these networks, expanding user options for the stablecoin.
Over the past 24 hours, ARB gained 7.7%, outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum during the same period.
While neither PayPal nor Paxos have officially confirmed this expansion, the change points to increasing integration of Arbitrum in mainstream crypto payment solutions.
Interestingly, Stellar (XLM), recently announced by PayPal as a PYUSD platform, was not mentioned in this update.
In other developments, Robinhood has also partnered with Arbitrum to launch tokenized equity offerings, boosting the network’s adoption further.
