Eric Trump’s Bitcoin Endorsement Sends Prices Near $98K as World Liberty Financial Eyes Investment
Bitcoin (BTC) surged past $98,000 during Thursday’s Asian trading session after Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, encouraged the family-backed platform, World Liberty Financial, to enter the bitcoin market.
“Now seems like the perfect time to get into BTC, @worldlibertyfi,” Eric Trump posted on X at 1:41 UTC. Following his tweet, BTC prices jumped from $96,900 to $97,830, with micro CME futures surpassing the $98,000 level, according to TradingView data.
This comes shortly after David Sacks, an advisor to the Trump administration, hinted at exploring the idea of a strategic bitcoin reserve, but no immediate steps were taken, leaving many crypto investors eager for a faster resolution.
