Brave Browser Adds Cardano Blockchain and Assets for Direct Access

Brave Wallet to Launch Support for Cardano Blockchain, ADA, and Governance Features

Brave Wallet, the cryptocurrency wallet built into the privacy-focused Brave browser, will soon integrate support for the Cardano blockchain. This update will allow users to send, receive, and swap ADA ($0.81776) and other assets native to Cardano directly within the browser.

This new feature expands Brave’s multichain capabilities, already supporting networks like Ethereum and Solana, according to a statement from Input Output (IO), the development company behind the Cardano ecosystem.

Once fully integrated, Brave users will be able to take advantage of Cardano’s governance features, sign transactions, and manage their assets seamlessly, without relying on third-party extensions or tools.

Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IO, described the integration as part of an ongoing effort to promote secure and private on-chain participation, aligning with Cardano’s transition into the Voltaire era—a phase dedicated to decentralized governance.

The move also sets the stage for further innovations, including IO’s Midnight project, a privacy-oriented blockchain focused on confidential smart contracts and data protection.
