Bitcoin (BTC) $87,181.76, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, saw a rapid flash crash on Hyperliquid at 7:34 UTC, plunging from $83,307 to $80,255 in just one minute before bouncing back to roughly $83,000.
The brief turmoil resulted in multiple liquidations on Hyperliquid, including five $10 million positions, with the largest single liquidation hitting $36.78 million, according to BlockPulse.
Other major exchanges experienced a milder impact, with BTC prices remaining above $81,000 during the same timeframe.
