Bitcoin Miners Rally as BTC Climbs to Fresh Record Near $123,000
Bitcoin briefly touched a new all-time high close to $123,000 during European trading hours on Monday, igniting a surge across crypto-related stocks.
Although BTC later eased back below $122,000, bitcoin mining shares led early U.S. market gains:
- MARA Holdings (MARA) soared almost 10% to roughly $20.95 shortly after the opening bell.
- CleanSpark (CLSK) advanced about 7.5% to $13.59.
- Core Scientific (CORZ) and Riot Platforms (RIOT) saw respectable increases of 4%-5%.
Elsewhere in the crypto equity space, gains were more modest:
- Strategy (MSTR) and Galaxy Digital (GLXY) each rose around 3.75%.
- Coinbase (COIN) and Circle (CRCL) posted smaller upticks under 2%.
Earlier in the day, bitcoin peaked around $122,870 before retracing to trade near $121,700 as U.S. markets opened.
