“Internet Computer (ICP) Climbs 4% With AI-Based ‘Caffeine’ Platform for Autonomous Web3 Apps on the Horizon.”

Caffeine Poised to Launch, Blending AI and Blockchain for Effortless Web3 App Creation

Caffeine, which brands itself as “the first complete tech stack designed for AI,” is preparing for its official debut on July 15 in San Francisco, promising to transform how decentralized applications are built.

The platform, built on the Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain, enables users to create decentralized Web3 apps simply by describing them in natural language—no programming knowledge needed. Users interact with an AI system that swiftly generates secure, scalable applications entirely on-chain. These applications are deployed as smart contracts known as canisters on the Internet Computer, guaranteeing security and decentralization.

Caffeine’s interface mimics a chat environment, allowing users to talk with an AI “builder agent” to define app features and adjust functionality. This conversational approach empowers anyone—from casual users to businesses—to build complex apps by exchanging simple text instructions.

The platform can create a broad range of applications, from e-commerce sites and social media platforms to business tools like CRM and ERP systems. It’s designed to serve both personal projects and enterprise-scale deployments, expanding Web3 development to diverse industries.

A significant strength of Caffeine lies in its full on-chain deployment on the Internet Computer Protocol, offering strong security, resilience, and seamless integration with decentralized identities and token payments. An integrated app store also allows users to publish, discover, clone, and subscribe to applications, fostering a dynamic ecosystem of “self-writing” apps.

The platform made headlines last month when Dominic Williams, Founder and Chief Scientist of the DFINITY Foundation, demonstrated Caffeine live at the World Computer Summit 2025 in Zürich, showing how quickly fully functional apps could be created from natural-language commands.

Caffeine’s official launch is set for July 15 during the “Hello, Self-Writing Internet” event in San Francisco. By combining AI-powered app development with blockchain security, the project aims to redefine how decentralized applications are built and make Web3 more accessible to a broader audience.

At the time of writing, ICP trades around $5.48, up 4% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinDesk Research data.
