SpaceX Wallet Transfers $153M in Bitcoin After Three-Year Silence
A Bitcoin wallet linked to SpaceX has recorded its first transaction in over three years, moving 1,308 BTC—worth approximately $153 million—to a new, inactive address, according to data from blockchain analytics firm Arkham.
The outgoing transfer originated from a wallet tagged by Arkham as belonging to Elon Musk’s rocket company, last active in June 2022, when it sent 3,505 BTC (then valued at $102 million) to Coinbase.
The destination wallet, bc1q8k…phartf, is currently untagged and has not shown any further activity since receiving the funds.
Despite the transaction, Arkham reports that SpaceX still holds 6,977 BTC, with an estimated value of $815 million. That places the company among the top corporate holders of Bitcoin, alongside Tesla and MicroStrategy.
It remains unclear whether the move indicates a sale, a strategic shift in treasury allocation, or an internal transfer. No additional on-chain movements have been detected at the time of reporting.
