The TRUMP token, which launched on January 17 and quickly entered the top 30 cryptocurrencies with a market cap exceeding $5.5 billion, has expanded its real-world utility by allowing payments for Trump-branded merchandise.
Websites like GetTrumpWatches.com, GetTrumpFragrances.com, and GetTrumpSneakers.com now accept TRUMP tokens as payment, alongside more traditional options like credit cards and Bitcoin (BTC). The payments will be processed through Solana Pay, a decentralized payment platform that facilitates direct transfers from users to merchants without intermediaries.
The TRUMP-branded watches, made-to-order and set to ship in October, are sold through a licensing agreement with CIC Digital LLC, the company behind the issuance of TRUMP tokens.
This move aims to further integrate cryptocurrency into mainstream commerce, a milestone that many volatile tokens have struggled to achieve.
