Trump Media Discloses $2B Bitcoin Reserve, Eyes Crypto Integration Across Platform
Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) revealed Monday that it now holds approximately $2 billion worth of bitcoin, aligning with its previously announced strategy to build a digital asset treasury.
At current market prices near $118,700 per BTC, the company’s holdings translate to around 17,000 coins.
“We are actively executing our bitcoin treasury roadmap,” said CEO Devin Nunes. “These holdings not only strengthen our financial autonomy, but also protect us from potential discrimination by traditional financial institutions and support the development of our planned utility token across the Truth Social platform.”
The disclosure follows DJT’s $2.5 billion capital raise completed in late May, which was earmarked for its bitcoin acquisition strategy. In addition to direct BTC purchases, the company has committed another $300 million to an options strategy focused on bitcoin-related securities.
DJT shares rose 6.5% in premarket trading following the announcement.
