XRP Takes the Spotlight as Ripple Expands Its Reach in Portugal’s Crypto Market with New Partnership.

Ripple has expanded its global footprint by forming a new partnership with Unicâmbio, a prominent Portuguese currency exchange provider. This collaboration is designed to streamline international payments between Portugal and Brazil, leveraging Ripple’s advanced payment technology, which utilizes digital assets for faster and more economical cross-border transactions.

The agreement enables Unicâmbio’s corporate customers to complete transactions in real-time, marking Ripple’s first official entry into the Portuguese market. Cassie Craddock, Ripple’s Managing Director for the UK & Europe, highlighted Portugal’s flourishing crypto environment and expressed excitement about the opportunity.

“By connecting our payment networks between Portugal and Brazil, we’re making cross-border transactions faster, cheaper, and more efficient, while strengthening the economic ties between these important markets,” said Craddock.

Ripple’s payment infrastructure is built on the XRP Ledger, allowing users to transfer a wide range of currencies, including both fiat and crypto assets, through a network of financial institutions using the XRP token as the medium of exchange.
