ETH, XRP ETFs Record Outflows as Major Cryptos Move Higher

Ether ETFs recorded another day of net withdrawals despite ETH gaining ground, while most major cryptocurrencies moved higher and Zcash continued its recent advance.

U.S. spot ether ETFs saw approximately $39 million leave the funds on Thursday, extending their outflow streak to three sessions. Investors withdrew around $224 million on Wednesday and $141 million on Tuesday, according to SoSoValue. Ether nevertheless climbed 2% over the same period to roughly $2,470.

XRP ETFs registered about $5 million in net outflows, reversing the small inflow recorded a day earlier. Bitcoin ETFs attracted approximately $159 million, while the sole U.S. Zcash fund drew nearly $47 million. It was the Zcash fund’s largest daily inflow in a month that has seen more than $230 million enter the product.

Looking at the past 30 days, ether ETFs remain more than $1.5 billion ahead on net flows, while bitcoin ETFs have recorded nearly $2.5 billion in inflows.

Zcash led the major crypto assets once again, rising 10% to about $1,488. Hyperliquid’s HYPE gained almost 10% to just above $86. Solana climbed 5% to nearly $105, and BNB added almost 4% to around $750.

Dogecoin rose roughly 4%, while ether and XRP each advanced 2%. Bitcoin gained more than 1% to approximately $77,216, CoinDesk data showed. Tron was the only major cryptocurrency with little movement.

Stocks, Bonds Gain as Oil Falls

Global risk assets advanced as oil prices declined, a day after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates for the first time since 2023. The S&P 500 gained about 1%, its strongest one-day rise in six weeks, while the Nasdaq 100 climbed nearly 2%. A semiconductor-stock index rose 3%.

The 10-year Treasury yield fell after eight consecutive sessions of gains, while the dollar was little changed. Gold moved higher, and Brent crude finished below $105 a barrel.

The decline in oil prices reduced some of the inflation pressure that had contributed to the Fed’s decision to raise rates. That allowed equities and bonds to rally at the same time instead of moving in opposite directions.

Crypto markets have followed the broader macro signal throughout the week, with major tokens moving largely in step with equities rather than leading the move.

The Zcash fund is also attracting capital on days when the two largest crypto ETFs are experiencing outflows. Whether that pattern continues into next week will be a key ETF-flow development to monitor.
