Crypto markets begin the week of Sept. 28 after a period of strong gains, with bitcoin pulling back as traders shift their attention to a busy run of U.S. economic releases.
Bitcoin has declined about 1% since Friday and more than 2% over the past 24 hours, retreating from the $84,000 area.
The pullback comes as investors reassess the recent rally following last week’s hawkish Federal Reserve decision, which lifted the benchmark target rate to 4%.
This week brings several important U.S. indicators, including jobless claims, GDP, inflation and manufacturing data. Global markets are also continuing to assess the interest-rate outlook after recent decisions from the Bank of Japan and Bank of England.
