A wallet believed to belong to Trump Media & Technology Group has transferred 4,259 Bitcoin to Crypto.com, worth approximately $434 million, according to data from blockchain analytics firm Arkham. The substantial movement has fueled speculation about a possible reduction in the company’s Bitcoin treasury as it approaches a major debt repayment deadline.
The parent company of Truth Social reportedly executed the transfer in two transactions at 02:17 UTC. Arkham identified the originating wallets as “2028 Convertible Notes Collateral” and the receiving address as belonging to Crypto.com.
The transactions involved 2,140.03 BTC and 2,119.31 BTC, respectively, with both transfers directed to the same destination.
The timing has raised questions because Trump Media previously disclosed that a significant portion of its Bitcoin holdings was pledged against convertible debt.
In its second-quarter filing, the company reported holding 4,260.73 BTC as collateral for its convertible notes as of June 30. The lending agreement imposed restrictions on withdrawing or distributing these assets. While Arkham’s wallet labels appear to match the disclosed collateral arrangement, the purpose of the latest transfer has not been established.
Trump Media also faces a potential $1 billion repayment obligation later this month. Its November 2 securities filing stated that holders of its convertible notes can request cash repayment on November 30. If all eligible holders exercise this option, the company could be required to pay approximately $1 billion.
The filing also warned that the company might have to sell Bitcoin or other digital assets if refinancing and alternative funding arrangements fail to cover the required payments.
The latest 4,259 BTC movement represents approximately 30% of the 14,139 BTC Trump Media disclosed holding, including pledged assets, as of July 31. However, that disclosure reflects an earlier reporting period and cannot establish whether the company’s current Bitcoin balance has changed.
CoinDesk sought a response from Trump Media regarding the latest transaction and its Bitcoin reserves but had not received one at the time of publication.
Crypto.com Transfer Does Not Confirm Bitcoin Liquidation
Large Bitcoin deposits to cryptocurrency exchanges frequently generate speculation about potential selling activity. However, an exchange transfer does not necessarily mean that the assets are being prepared for liquidation.
The latest transaction has nevertheless attracted attention from blockchain analysts and cryptocurrency monitoring accounts on X because of its substantial value.
EyeOnChain questioned whether the movement could signal the start of a Bitcoin sell-off. However, the account emphasized that transferring BTC to an exchange or custodian does not automatically indicate an intention to sell. The transaction could also reflect changes in custody arrangements or internal asset management.
Trump Media has previously made comparable Bitcoin transfers to Crypto.com without liquidating its holdings.
In May 2026, wallets associated with the company transferred approximately 2,650 BTC, worth around $205 million, to the platform. A company spokesperson later confirmed that the assets had been moved but not sold, explaining that the transaction was connected to its broader trading strategy.
Another transfer occurred in early August 2026, when approximately 2,628 BTC valued at $165 million was sent to Crypto.com. Trump Media described that transaction as a custody management operation rather than a sale.
Crypto.com has been among the company’s custody partners since it introduced its Bitcoin treasury strategy.
As a result, the latest $434 million transaction alone does not demonstrate that Trump Media is preparing to liquidate its Bitcoin reserves. Nevertheless, the approaching convertible-note repayment deadline has intensified scrutiny of its treasury management and whether digital assets could be used to address its financial obligations.
