Robinhood Adds Moo Deng and MEW, Driving Prices Upward

Robinhood has added two popular Solana-based memecoins, Moo Deng and Cat in a Dog’s World, to its U.S. crypto trading platform.

Moo Deng, themed around a baby pygmy hippo, has surged to a $230 million market cap this month following a viral meme wave that began in 2024. The token jumped more than 836% in May and climbed another 21% in the last 24 hours.

Cat in a Dog’s World, launched during the Solana meme coin boom in March 2024, has grown to a $368 million market cap. It gained 52% in May and almost 20% in the past day.

These listings expand Robinhood’s meme coin offerings amid a shifting regulatory environment, which has grown more crypto-friendly following last year’s presidential election and key pro-crypto government appointments.

In November, Robinhood added the well-known Pepe coin (PEPE) to its lineup. The platform now supports over 20 cryptocurrencies, having previously dropped several tokens in 2023 amid regulatory pressures under former SEC Chair Gary Gensler.
