Bitcoin Jumps Past $106K Amid Reports of Peace Talks Between Iran and Israel

Bitcoin Jumps Above $106K Following Trump’s Iran-Israel Ceasefire Announcement

Bitcoin surged nearly 3% Monday evening after former President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that Iran and Israel had agreed to a “complete and total” ceasefire, expected to start within six hours.

Trump’s message read: “It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now).”

This news pushed bitcoin above $106,000, recovering from a dip to $98,500 just one day prior. At press time, bitcoin hovered around $105,300.

U.S. stock futures gained roughly 0.5%, while crude oil prices fell to $65 per barrel after briefly climbing to $75 earlier in the day.

The broader crypto market rallied strongly, with altcoins such as ether (ETH), XRP, and solana (SOL) rising between 8% and 10%.

Although the announcement initially raised questions, Reuters later confirmed that a senior Iranian official acknowledged Tehran’s agreement to a proposed ceasefire with Israel.
