Eric Trump to Speak at BTC Asia as Hong Kong Strengthens Crypto Position
Eric Trump is slated to deliver a keynote at BTC Asia this August in Hong Kong, marking his continued engagement with the crypto community following his earlier appearance at CoinDesk’s Consensus conference in Toronto.
Hong Kong has been solidifying its status as a global digital asset hub, moving ahead with crypto-friendly regulations. The city’s Legislative Council (LegCo) has advanced stablecoin legislation that puts it ahead of the United States, where lawmakers only recently passed the GENIUS Act—America’s first dedicated crypto bill.
At Consensus Toronto, Trump praised bitcoin’s liquidity and dubbed the cryptocurrency “digital gold,” arguing it outshines traditional assets like real estate. He also voiced strong support for the crypto industry, claiming that many of the same groups who have scrutinized crypto under President Biden’s administration had previously targeted his father, former President Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. remains an active presence on the crypto conference circuit and is scheduled to speak at Korea Blockchain Week this September.
BTC Asia will run in Hong Kong from August 28–29, with CoinDesk’s Consensus conference set to return to the city in February 2026.
