Inflation Data, Deribit Transition Set to Drive Crypto Markets This Week

Crypto markets enter the week of Sept. 7 with a busy schedule of economic data, central-bank decisions, corporate earnings and industry developments.

U.S. inflation will be the main macroeconomic focus. Producer price data is due Thursday, followed by the consumer price report on Friday. These readings will be among the final major inflation updates available before the Federal Reserve’s September meeting.

The European Central Bank and Bank of Russia are also scheduled to announce interest-rate decisions. On the crypto side, Coinbase is preparing to move the venue used for perpetual-futures trading on its website and app from Coinbase International Exchange to Deribit, the derivatives exchange it acquired in August 2025.

GameStop and bitcoin mining company Canaan will report earnings, while Blockstream is expected to publish the source code associated with security fixes included in Core Lightning 26.06.7.
