Kalshi has launched a dedicated U.S. “Midterms Hub” as the prediction markets company looks to become a central destination for election forecasts ahead of this year’s November midterm elections.
The new platform feature enables users to track market expectations for individual U.S. Senate and House races as voters prepare to head to the polls later this year, Kalshi announced Wednesday.
The company said the Midterms Hub provides a real-time view of where traders are placing their positions and how expectations are shifting across different races. Kalshi described the tool as a single platform for monitoring state and federal election forecasts and evaluating the current outlook for each contest.
Election projections on the hub are based on the latest market odds available for each contract and are displayed through a nationwide U.S. election map.
The feature will also incorporate polling averages, giving users a way to compare prediction market probabilities with traditional voter surveys. It will include Federal Election Commission fundraising data for candidates, as well as selected news coverage and analysis from different sources.
The announcement comes as Kalshi seeks to expand its broader derivatives business, with reports indicating the company is pursuing regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to introduce perpetual contracts beyond the crypto sector.
Bloomberg reported that Kalshi is exploring perpetual trading products linked to precious metals, including gold, silver, and platinum.
The Midterms Hub marks another move by Kalshi to grow its political prediction market footprint before the November elections. In May, the company launched the “American Power Index,” describing it as a political counterpart to the S&P 500 that tracks which party is gaining or losing strength.
Kalshi reported $31 billion in total notional trading volume in June, representing a more than 70% increase from the previous month. Sports markets accounted for about 85% of activity, while the company said World Cup-related contracts generated $22.42 billion in volume.
The launch also follows reports that Kalshi is seeking new funding at a valuation of roughly $40 billion, nearly double the $22 billion valuation associated with its earlier financing round.
