TOKEN2049 Singapore is scheduled for October 7–8, 2026, with the event bringing traditional finance and the crypto industry together on the same program. Executives from Nasdaq, BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and Morgan Stanley are set to appear alongside leaders from Hyperliquid, Solana, Polygon, Base and Ethereum-related initiatives.
The lineup and scheduled sessions indicate that institutional DeFi, tokenized markets and the infrastructure required for on-chain finance will be among the conference’s key subjects.
Nasdaq Chair and CEO Adena Friedman, BlackRock Director of Digital Assets Nikhil Sharma, Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson and Morgan Stanley Head of Digital Asset Strategy Amy Oldenburg are all included on the official speaker roster.
Their presence alongside crypto-native executives highlights the growing intersection between established financial markets and blockchain-based financial infrastructure.
On the crypto side, the roster features Hyperliquid Labs’ Jeff Yan, Base’s Jesse Pollak, Solana Foundation’s Lily Liu, Polygon Foundation’s Sandeep Nailwal and Joseph Lubin, who is listed under Ethereum and MetaMask. Representatives associated with Aave, Ethena, Synthetix, StarkWare and Offchain Labs are also scheduled to participate.
The group covers a broad range of sectors, including decentralized finance, blockchain networks, derivatives, scaling infrastructure and other on-chain financial applications.
Institutional DeFi Takes a Prominent Position
The institutional focus is particularly visible in the “DeFi’s Institutional Breakthrough” session. Stani Kulechov of Aave Labs, Guy Young of Ethena Labs and Kain Warwick of Infinex/Synthetix are listed for the discussion, with Robbie Petersen of a16z crypto serving as moderator.
Hyperliquid will also receive dedicated attention through a main-stage session titled “Hyperliquid: Rebuilding Finance from First Principles,” featuring Jeff Yan.
The scheduled appearances establish the subjects expected to be discussed at TOKEN2049, but they do not independently confirm commercial agreements, institutional deployments or partnerships between the participating organizations.
For traditional financial firms exploring blockchain-based products, the infrastructure layer remains a major consideration. Custody, execution and operational controls must be addressed alongside the underlying protocols, particularly when institutions manage keys and execute transactions on-chain.
Day One Agenda Highlights Market Infrastructure
The October 7 schedule begins on the OKX Main Stage with “Welcome to TOKEN2049 Singapore,” scheduled from 9:00 to 9:10 a.m. Balaji Srinivasan’s “The Open Source Network State” keynote follows from 9:10 to 9:30 a.m.
Later sessions shift toward investment, DeFi and trading infrastructure. “DeFi’s Institutional Breakthrough” is scheduled for 10:20–11:00 a.m., followed by “Hyperliquid: Rebuilding Finance from First Principles” between 11:00 and 11:35 a.m.
Other sessions listed on the program include “Wall St. 2049: Everything Trades, Nobody Sleeps,” “The New Trilemma: Confidential, Compliant, Composable,” and discussions focused on on-chain options, derivatives and the U.S. market.
The agenda combines several issues that could shape institutional participation in blockchain markets. Privacy and compliance are featured alongside derivatives, options and continuous trading, while the institutional DeFi discussion focuses on how traditional financial participants could interact with decentralized markets.
TOKEN2049 Institutional Adds a Private Finance Track
The October 8 program includes TOKEN2049 Institutional, which organizers describe as a private, invitation-based gathering for senior leaders in global finance and digital assets.
Hyperliquid’s broader presence at the conference also reflects the increasing overlap between crypto trading venues and professional market infrastructure. Jeff Yan is scheduled for the platform-focused session, while separate reporting has examined Hyperliquid data in the Bloomberg Terminal.
Neither development, by itself, establishes a commercial relationship between the companies represented at TOKEN2049.
Tokenization is another major theme connecting the institutional-finance discussion. Moving securities onto blockchain infrastructure could influence how assets are issued, transferred and traded.
Taken together, the program places institutional DeFi within a wider conversation about the evolution of financial markets toward on-chain infrastructure, with traditional finance, decentralized applications, tokenized assets and professional trading systems increasingly appearing in the same ecosystem.
