Strategy increased its U.S. dollar reserve to $4.65 billion after raising capital through stock sales and selling part of its Bitcoin holdings. The company now holds 840,447 BTC.
According to a filing released Monday, Strategy sold 1,690 Bitcoin last week for $108.6 million. Separately, it raised $653.1 million by selling 6.59 million shares of common stock.
The company directed the proceeds from the BTC sale toward the repurchase of 1,152,020 STRC preferred shares, spending $108.6 million on the transaction.
Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings now stand at 840,447 BTC, which were accumulated for $63.36 billion at an average purchase price of $75,385 per coin. The 1,690 BTC sold last week changed hands for an average of $64,262 each after fees and other expenses.
Strategy placed $650 million of the money raised through its common-stock sale into its U.S. dollar reserve. As of Aug. 9, the reserve totaled $4.65 billion. The remaining $3.1 million went toward its cash holdings.
The company still has $785.2 million available under its STRC preferred-stock repurchase authorization and $1 billion remaining for MSTR common-stock buybacks.
Both MSTR and STRC gained about 0.5% in Monday’s premarket session, while Bitcoin traded close to $65,000.
