AI Demand Drives CoreWeave 16% Higher on Record $2.58B Revenue

CoreWeave Surges 16% as AI Demand Powers $2.58B Quarter

CoreWeave shares climbed 16% in premarket trading Wednesday after the AI infrastructure provider reported strong second-quarter results and raised its revenue outlook for the year.

Revenue reached $2.58 billion in the quarter, more than doubling year over year and narrowly surpassing analyst expectations. The company reported a net loss of $626 million, which was smaller than Wall Street had forecast.

CoreWeave expects third-quarter revenue to come in between $3.45 billion and $3.6 billion. It also raised its 2026 revenue guidance to $12.4 billion-$13.2 billion.

The strong report also lifted other companies tied to the AI computing sector. IREN and Cipher Digital each gained about 5% as investors continued shifting toward businesses benefiting from surging demand for AI infrastructure.

CoreWeave closed the quarter with approximately $104 billion in contracted commitments and secured more than $25 billion in additional customer commitments after the quarter ended.

The company said recently signed agreements are delivering margins 5 to 10 percentage points above recent levels, reflecting tight computing supply and stronger pricing conditions.

CoreWeave’s results underscore the widening gap between AI infrastructure and the crypto market. Demand for AI computing continues to attract substantial investment and premium valuations, while Bitcoin and other digital assets remain under pressure, with BTC trading below $64,000.
