XRP is trading close to $1.006 after losing roughly 3.2% over the past day, keeping the token dangerously close to the key psychological $1 support level. Despite expectations of a bounce from this area, XRP has continued to lag behind major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. Whether buyers can defend $1 could determine if the token prepares for a potential Wave 3 rally or moves into a deeper correction.
Analyst EGRAG CRYPTO recently presented a bullish roadmap for XRP, identifying several resistance levels that must be overcome before the larger setup can develop. XRP would first need to reclaim the $1.30-$1.60 region and then break through $1.96. A successful move above those levels could support a Wave 3 advance toward the $3.00-$3.60 area.
However, the downside risks remain significant. The first major support zone lies between $1.00 and $0.95, while $0.75 represents the next important floor. A stronger sell-off could eventually bring the $0.60-$0.52 range into play.
XRP has also struggled to keep pace with the broader market. That Martini Guy recently highlighted that Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana gained last week, whereas XRP declined approximately 5%, even with continued ETF inflows.
Current price action offers few signs of a decisive trend. XRP is around $1.006, down 1.34% over 24 hours, with the session spanning just $1.0038 to $1.0218. The tight range indicates that market participants remain cautious and are waiting for a catalyst to establish the next direction.
TradingView places immediate resistance at $1.06. Reclaiming that level could shift attention toward $1.35, with $1.64 emerging as another potential target if buying momentum strengthens. CoinGecko’s closely clustered daily high and low further underline the token’s current consolidation phase.
Bullish outlook: A breakout above $1.06 would be the first sign of improving momentum. XRP would then need to overcome $1.30-$1.60 and eventually $1.96 to strengthen the Wave 3 thesis, potentially opening a path toward $3.00-$3.60.
Neutral outlook: XRP continues to oscillate between $0.95 and $1.06 as traders wait for a fundamental or market-wide catalyst.
Bearish outlook: A decisive break beneath the $1.00-$0.95 support zone could send XRP toward $0.75. If that level also gives way, the next major downside region would be $0.60-$0.52.
For XRP investors, defending the $1 level is becoming increasingly important. The token has a stronger fundamental narrative than its recent price performance might suggest, supported by ETF activity and rapid growth in tokenized real-world assets on the XRP Ledger. The value of tokenized assets has reportedly risen to $4.06 billion across 373 assets, compared with $73 million in January 2025.
Still, fundamentals alone have not been enough to produce a sustained breakout. Traders waiting for the projected Wave 3 move may need to remain positioned for several weeks rather than expecting an immediate surge. That has led some market participants to consider smaller, early-stage infrastructure projects that potentially offer greater room for valuation expansion.
